Schedule of Events – Take Back the Night

Take Back the Night actions got underway across the country on September 15. With these spirited marches women affirm their right to be, to fully participate in the life of society and to walk the streets, day or night, without fear. In particular they uphold the right of women to say No! to interference with their human person, whether by individuals or by the state through the implementation of laws which dictate what they can or cannot do or say. This is all the more important this year with the attack on women’s reproductive rights in the U.S. which is an attack on all women. Take Back the Night marches began in Canada in 1980.
