Interview: Miners Strike in Windsor

In this interview we speak with Dario Zuech, production representative for the bargaining committee of Unifor local 1959’s Windsor Salt Ojibway Mine bargaining unit. The workers have been on strike since February 17. This is their first negotiations with the new Los Angeles California-based Stone Canyon Industries Holding Ltd., Mark Demetree and Associates, the new owners of the operations, which tabled unacceptable demands for contracting out of work that provoked the strike.
